Childcare worker database
This database seeks to alleviate an urgent need for childcare for frontline healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is simply an aggregation of potentially available childcare resources. Caregivers and parents must negotiate individual agreements.

We offer these important safety precautions:
- regular hand washing with soap, covering coughs/sneezes, and practicing social distancing (remain 6 ft from others, avoiding groups of 10+)
- self-isolate to only the children's and your homes (it is best if you have a support partner to run errands in public places, e.g. groceries)
-please do NOT sign up if you:
Experienced a temperature > 99F or subjective fever currently, or in the past 14 days
Experienced any of the following symptoms currently, or in the past 14 days: cough, sore throat, runny nose/congestion, shortness of breath, body aches, fatigue, or diarrhea
Tested positive for COVID-19 or been in contact with anyone who has
Are not fully immunized (standard immunizations + current influenza immunization)

NYC hospitals are seeing more severe cases among people age 20-50 and children than rates reported in other countries. Parents using this database are healthcare workers, and are inherently at higher than average risk of transmission. Parents and childcare givers are encouraged to discuss their risk factors openly before starting employment. *
