Donate to Daily Kos Liberation League

Daily Kos Liberation League is a project of Daily Kos. DKLL is committed to advancing racial, gender, LGBTQ, and disability justice and indigenous sovereignty.

We started this project to make sure news that centered marginalized communities didn't get buried underneath news of the presidential campaign in 2016. We also wanted to run high-impact intersectional campaigns to support the liberation of indigenous and people of color and LGBTQ. We focus on combatting mass incarceration and voter suppression, and demonstrate how the two are inextricably linked.

Our work has persisted between election cycles because liberation does not begin and end with election cycles, nor is it guaranteed by any political party.

Since 2016, the Daily Kos Liberation League has been integral in a number of key progressive campaign victories including restored voting rights for people with felony convictions in Florida, over $500,000 raised to secure voter ID for North Dakota Natives, more than a dozen stays of executions as part of death penalty reform, forcing Amazon to abandon its HQ 2 project in New York City, and raising more than $12,000 to bail out black mothers in the National Mother's Day Bailout.

Your support is critical to our continued work to get free.
