We are looking forward to a great 2019 State Convention on Saturday, September 7! Here are some things you should know for the day of: 

 

Please note: YOU WILL NEED BOTH YOUR CREDENTIAL AND YOUR TICKET TO ENTER. 

 

•  General information: 

  • Doors open at 7:00 am.  

  • The convention will start at 9:00 am and end at 4:00 pm/

  • There will be one main entrance to the arena directly on Elm Street. This is where
    check-in and security will be/

  • No re-entry will be allowed throughout the day; your ticket will allow only you to enter the building once. If you leave, you will not be allowed back in, with the exception of those with a certified service animal needing a restroom break.

  • There will be food and drink available for purchase throughout the arena at the concession stands on the second floor. The concession stands take credit cards, and there will be several ATMs throughout the building.

  • For those requiring reasonable accommodations for disability, please contact convention@nhdp.org. Additionally, ASL interpreters will be on-site for the day; please let us know if you would like this service and we will seat you accordingly. 
     

• Ticket and Registration:

  • There will be NO ON-SITE registration the day of the event, and registration for guests and delegates is closed. If you have questions about your ticket, please email convention@nhdp.org.

  • Make sure to get to the arena early to beat the lines!

  • Delegates may pick up their floor credentials Friday, September 6th from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm and Saturday, September 7th from 6:00 am to 9:00 am at the SNHU Arena in Manchester at the tent outside front doors.

  • In the case of a lost credential, you will not be able to gain entry. Your delegate credential will have your name on it; the credential is non-transferable. For questions, please email convention@nhdp.org.
     

• Parking: 

  • City of Manchester parking is available throughout downtown, including the Victory Parking Garage (free on Saturdays!)

  • There is ADA parking behind the arena for vehicles with decals only. This parking will be first come, first served and unfortunately we cannot reserve specific spaces prior to your arrival.
     

• Security: 

  • All persons entering the arena will pass through metal detectors after having their tickets scanned; all patrons are subject to search of their persons and belonging at the discretion of the SNHU Arena.

  • All jackets, pockets, and bags will be searched upon entry; purses, diaper bags, and other small personal bags are allowed, but will be inspected. 

  • Bags larger than 14" x 16", backpacks, and boxes are not permitted into the arena. Patrons with prohibited items will be turned away at the entrance; no storage area will be provided for such items.

  • In addition to these items, the following are not permitted into the arena:
    -Food or beverage (with the exception of those having a food allergy)
    -Cans, bottles, coolers, or other similar containers
    -Laser pens or laser pointers
    -Weapons of any kind, to include but not limited to, knives, guns, chains, or clubs. 
    -Illegal substances
    -Homemade signs
    -Any other item deemed unacceptable by the SNHU Arena
