U.S. Rep. Angie Craig and Dakota County Commissioner Joe Atkins will livestream a joint virtual town hall meeting on the coronairus pandemic March 21 on Facebook.

The discussion will include Dakota County’s disease prevention and emergency preparedness supervisor, Christine Lees, who will answer specific questions on county preparedness.

Craig and Atkins said Friday they decided to move their previously in-person scheduled town halls to a virtual format at the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and with there being nine coronavirus cases across Minnesota, including the first case confirmed Thursday in Dakota County.

The livestream will begin at 10 a.m. on Craig’s Facebook page. All posts, videos, photos and livestreams on that page are public and accessible regardless of whether someone has  “liked” or “followed” the page.
