Right now, National Grid, the corporate utility covering part of NYC and Long Island wants to raise our rates, one of the highest in the nation, to expand more fossil fuels in an opaque process in a boardroom. We know that more fossil fuels anywhere puts the climate at risk for everyone.

Their request to invest our rate-payer dollars into more fossil fuels goes against what our community wants, and goes against our climate law like replacing the same climate-crisis-causing fracked gas pipelines with more climate-crisis-causing fracked gas pipelines claiming new pipelines will somehow reduce emissions.

We know pipelines leak.

We know methane is causing climate catastrophes across the globe.

We also know we can heat and cook in our homes with renewable energy.
