The Minnesota Farmers Union donated 30,000 pounds of pork ribs to Second Harvest Heartland Wednesday.

The meat came from Redwood Farms in Iowa, a facility that normally supplies high-end restaurants.

"We’re just fortunate… it’s really a win-win for everybody," said Gary Wertish, President of the Minnesota Farmers Union.

The union is also donating 150,000 pounds of meat to food pantries across the Midwest.
