From the linked interview:
Senator Kamala Harris phoned in on Tuesday, March 17, to help answer some of our Coronavirus questions and concerns. Harris, who is currently in Washington, D.C., also addressed if she’d consider a Vice Presidential run alongside current Presidential candidate Joe Biden.
“Everyone should be putting pressure on their senators all over the country,” Harris urged. “I’m here waiting and pressuring the leadership to put something on the floor for us to vote for paid sick leave … they’ve sent a bill over and now it’s on the United States to act.” — Senator Kamala Harris
Kamala called in to a Los Angeles radio station from Washington, where she’s working to get the Senate to pass the House’s bill. After speaking passionately about the coronavirus response, and the need for paid sick leave, for most of the interview, she was asked about Joe Biden saying his Vice Presidential choice would be a woman.
Sisanie: While I have you on the phone, everyone is talking about this, and I have to ask, what do you have to say about former Vice President Biden saying that his running mate will be a woman? I mean your name is on every list of possibilities. What do you say to that?
Senator Kamala Harris: I'm trying to deal with this coronavirus, to be honest with you. It's occupying all of my thoughts, and all of my time. That's what I'm dealing with. That's my priority, that's my highest priority.
Look, we've got families who are trying to get through the end of the week, let alone the end of the month, if they can't go to work. Businesses are shutting down. I think about small business owners not only in their ability to pay people sick leave, but literally they're going out of business. I'm thinking of the people who run beauty salons and barbershops, businesses in a community who are often the economic lifeblood of the community. I’m thinking about that mom, that single mom, that working couple who have young children who aren't going to school but they don't have any money saved because they're part of the American population, almost half of American workers who cannot get through the end of the month if there's a $400 unexpected expense.
This is real, and this is immediate, and that's where my head is.

I would like to say before we end it is so important right now, in the beauty of spirit of who we are, this is a time to be patient with each other, a time to be kind to each other. Pick up the phone or text people and say, 'Hi, how are you doing'? If you know seniors just check on them. You know so many of them, if they're alone, their method of socializing has now been cut off. We have so many seniors right now their social life is built around their church but now their churches are shutting down, their community centers are shutting down. So this is a time to really dig deep in ourselves to remember that in a moment of crisis some of the greatest of heroes are who show that kind of love and that kind of kindness and patience.
