The Marin Rapid Response Network is comprised of community leaders, immigrant empowerment organizations, nonprofits and faith based leaders that have come together to lead a collaborative effort in defense of our immigrant communities in Marin.

And we need you!

Legal observers are trained volunteers who support the legal rights of anyone in the face of law enforcement or in this case, specifically ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement). Legal Observers purposely position themselves close enough to a scene to be able to accurately watch and report the activities of participants and the law enforcement who interact with them. Just the presence of an explicitly identified Legal Observer can deter law enforcement from violating anyone's rights. A Legal Observer will essentially be the official eyes and ears of an incident, documenting every detail in a thorough and professional manner. Details of any incident will then be used to support the targeted individual in the court of law.

We currently are scouting out more volunteers to become Legal Observers in Southern Marin. If you are living in Southern Marin, please consider becoming a Legal Observer!
