What is a PowerPoint Party?
A Powerpoint party is a virtual event (in our case, over Zoom), where people show off 5-10 minute multimedia presentations (Powerpoint, Google Slides, Prezi, etc) about a topic of their choice. The subjects are usually lighthearted and silly, such as "Horseshoe Crabs 101," "Why Shrek 2 is the Best Movie Ever," or "A Definitive Ranking of Little Debbie's Treats."
How can I get involved?
Complete this form with your contact details and a short description of your presentation subject by Monday, January 11th. Helmi will be in touch to let you know if your presentation was accepted and the determined event date and time. If you have any questions, feel free to email Helmi at
helmihenkin96@gmail.comCan I come to the party without making a presentation?
You do not have to submit a presentation to attend the event; you are just as welcome to tune in and watch! Be on the lookout for upcoming details about a date and time.
Guidelines:
1. You will not be considered for this event if your presentation is even remotely close to invalidating another person or group of people. Please don't do this.
2. The point of this event is to lighten our hearts during a period of increased isolation. Think fun topics that will get us laughing!
3. The number of presenters will depend on how many submissions there are. If you aren't selected, please know there are no hard feelings. If there is enough interest, we can host another event at a later date!
