Overtime Survey for Gannett Employees
The NewsGuild is aware of a potentially widespread policy or practice at Gannett of not paying statutory overtime to employees who work more than 40 hours a week.

Federal and state law provides overtime protection. Overtime must be paid at 1.5 times the normal rate of pay. Gannett has a statutory obligation to maintain accurate records of all hours worked by its employees.

Here are some questions that will help the NewsGuild determine how widespread Gannett’s potentially illegal pay practices are.

Note: Once we complete the survey, we will notify you of next steps we may be able to take together to rectify unpaid overtime. Your name and contact info will never be shared with the company without your permission.
