This year's annual statewide Student Democracy Summit will be held on Saturday, September 25th from 10 am-3 pm EST. The summit will be hosted by Virginia Commonwealth University and attendees are welcome to join us in one of several ways: (1) In person, in accordance with state suggested social distancing and mask-wearing policies; (2) virtually, with a group on your campus. Groups are encouraged to make appropriate room and AV reservations on their campus; and (3) virtually, as an individual. We welcome and encourage engagement at all levels.

The Virginia Democracy Summit may have funding available to support travel expenses to and from Richmond, VA. If grant funding becomes available, more information will be shared via email to those who are interested.

Civic Virginia is a new coalition of higher education and community leaders across the commonwealth seeking to strengthen civic learning and democratic engagement. We seek to collaborate across the state and work towards a Virginia where every college student has easy and equal access to participate in elections. We currently meet once a month via zoom.
