Welcome to the Summer Educator Academy 2021 information page!

It has been over a year since we have all had to pivot to online teaching, learning, communicating, and seeing one another. And once again, we are faced with decisions about whether to hold our usual summer events face to face or virtually. Given the times which remain, we have decided to keep Summer Educator Academy 2021 virtual. The Educational Issues professional development team along with AFT’s national trainers, have been designing online train the trainer versions of offerings. We will continue to help your local build internal capacity to lead the professional development your members need and deserve. As in the past, the local leader or designee must recommend participants for the Train-the-Trainer sessions.
