Write A Letter to the Editor to Pass the CCIA!

At NY Renews, we're writing Letters to the Editor (LTE) to get our message out there: We need to pass the CCIA to kick start our economy, fight the climate crisis, and create well-paid green jobs, especially in frontline communities!

Never written an LTE before? Don't worry, we've got your back every step of the way. A letter to the editor (LTE) is a brief piece, usually less than 300 words, that anyone can write and submit to a newspaper. Your LTE will link the Climate and Community Investment Act (CCIA) to community recovery in the minds of readers in your own neighborhood. We’ve put together this easy to use toolkit to help you get started. It includes information on how to write a letter to the editor, information about the CCIA, talking point, and sample letters to the editor.

Letters to the editor will be critical in disseminating this message to reporters, legislators, and community leaders! Through grassroots power, we'll get our message out to papers across the state, and we need your help! Can join us in this fight and write an LTE with NY Renews? Sign up here!
