While the the US has taken the crucial first step to back a waiver of intellectual property protections for vaccines, we must demand that pharmaceutical companies transfer their technologies and production know-how through the WHO's Covid-19 Technology Access Pool and invest in manufacturing in India and across countries in the Global South.
