VOTES Act Passes the MA Senate

(10/5/21) Earlier this evening, the MA Senate voted 36 to 3 to pass the VOTES Act (S.2545: An Act fostering voter opportunities, trust, equity and security), a vital election reform bill that would create a permanent option for vote-by-mail, expand early voting opportunities, and enact Same Day Registration and jail-based voting reforms.

Read a recap of the bill and the floor debate here.

Thank your senator if they voted for the bill (every Democrat in the Senate did), and show your support or disappointment for their votes on key amendments.

[If your state senator is one of the three Republicans --- Ryan Fattman, Patrick O'Connor, and Bruce Tarr -- they won't show up, since you can't thank them for voting for a bill they didn't vote for! But you can email them directly to express disappointment.]
