Stand up for equity, collaboration and respect! Jeffco deserves a brighter future, join us!

It’s time for JeffCo to budget what they say they value.

Our students, educators and community deserve equity, collaboration, and respect.

For the first time in six years the entire JCEA collective bargaining agreement is open for negotiations. For nearly 60 years our bargaining teams and members have worked tirelessly to craft proposals that make improvements to both working and learning conditions. This year our goals are ambitious - and it's going to take a strong majority of us standing together to compel the district to trust their educators and commit to invest in us, our classrooms and the needed resources to support our students.

What we are advocating for:

- Concrete language on equity, diversity and inclusion for all employees, students and families of color

- Stronger, more transparent and honest collaboration at the district level for educators, parents and community

- True shared leadership at all levels

- A full time DTL (Digital Teacher Librarian) in every school

- Increased mental health supports for students

- More planning time

- Lower case loads for mental health and special education providers

- An entirely new article focused on recruiting and retaining highly skilled registered nurses in Jeffco

- A living wage for all Jeffco educators that moves us closer to parity with surrounding districts; investing in our educators helps Jeffco recruit and retain the best

... and much, much more!

Jeffco educators play a crucial role in making our schools work everyday.

We provide safe, welcoming environments, engaging twenty first century lessons, and build strong relationships with our students, colleagues, and community. We are a vital part of the shared goal of providing every child in Jefferson County access to a high quality education.

We are united in our belief that the district can afford to make these changes happen - it is a choice not to. Even during the pandemic they have managed to grow the "rainy day" reserves. Millions upon millions of dollars are coming in to support our district in building back from the pandemic - NOW is the time to invest in our front line educators.

Join us today by signing our petition to district management asking that they do the right thing - support the educational professionals who serve our students every single day.

We the undersigned ask the District negotiations team to come to the table ready to bargain. We ask the Board of Education to commit to finalizing a fair and comprehensive negotiated agreement by mid June.
