History
The firm was founded in 1997 by Mary C. Stitt, a political consultant specializing in fundraising and event services.[1] Stitt previously served as finance director for Wisconsin Governor Tommy Thompson, a Republican. One of her first financial consulting clients was Congressman Mark Green, and she later provided similar services for Green's unsuccessful 2006 campaign for Governor of Wisconsin against incumbent Democrat Jim Doyle.[2]
Work
Mary Stitt is a longtime fundraising aide to Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker. In the first half of 2013, she was paid $57,000 by the Walker campaign for consulting services.[3] FEC filings from the first half of 2015 show that Unintimidated PAC, a political action committee supporting Scott Walker's 2016 presidential campaign, made two payments totaling $40,177.48 to Mary Stitt & Associates for "fundraising consulting."[4]
In June through September of 2014, Mary Stitt was listed on WisPolitics.org as the event contact for various fundraisers featuring Wisconsin Republicans, including Governor Scott Walker, U.S. Representatives Sean Duffy and Paul Ryan, and state Senators Joe Leibham and Alberta Darling.[5][6][7][8] Paul Ryan's campaign paid Stitt at least $10,000 for fundraising services in 2014.[9]
