ST. PAUL, Minn. (KFGO) – Attorney General Keith Ellison’s office is confirming that Minnesotans received robocalls Tuesday making fake claims about voting.
The robocalls told voters to “stay home, stay safe, don’t go vote” and one said, “Republicans vote today, Democrats vote tomorrow.” State officials said the claims were false and urged everyone to cast a ballot by 8 p-m Tuesday.
There were similar robocalls across the U-S in an apparent effort to scare voters on Election Day. The F-B-I is investigating robocalls that tried to interfere with a voter’s right to cast a ballot.
