Mechanical Insulation Tax Credits in new Build Back Better legislation

Insulators Union General President Gregory T. Revard released the following statement on the inclusion of mechanical insulation tax incentives in President Biden's Build Back Better framework and U.S. House legislation:

"I commend President Biden for his leadership to ensure that his updated Build Back Better framework contains mechanical insulation tax incentives. President Biden has long recognized the economic, energy and environmental benefits of mechanical insulation and the work of our Insulators Union members, and our members and union contractors are looking forward to securing additional work opportunities as we work to
save energy and reduce carbon.

"With the release of President Biden's updated framework and the U.S. House Build Back Better legislative text, we are one step closer to the enactment of historic investments to address the climate crisis. With the enactment of both the Build Back Better legislation and the Bipartisan Infrastructure legislation, the United States is also making the transformative investments in both human and traditional infrastructure that our nation needs. Yes, these important bills are about creating good jobs and helping families, but the inspired work of President Biden and the U.S. Congress also reaffirms that our legislative process can work for the American people.
