A ceremony was held in Madison on Tuesday where the governor signed three executive orders

For the third year in a row, Gov. Tony Evers ordered the Pride flag be flown atop the state Capitol.The flag was raised in Madison during the June celebration of Pride Month in support of the LGBTQ community. Evers, who ordered the move for the first time in 2019, was joined for a ceremony Tuesday with Sen. Tammy Baldwin and a number of other advocates. "My administration and folks standing up here with me are committed to making systemic changes that will have a lasting impact on how we serve LGBTQ Wisconsinites," Evers said.The governor also signed two other executive orders. One directs state agencies to use gender-neutral language in external documents. The other prohibits the use of state or federal funds that would be used for conversion therapy. The Evers administration said, as in years past, the U.S. flag and Wisconsin state flag will continue flying on the East wing flagpole and the POW-MIA flag will continue flying on the North wing flagpole. The rainbow flag symbolizing gay pride.
