Family In Need After 2 House Fires in One Month

Hello everyone, we don’t normally tend to put our business online but we are in utter disbelief. On December 7th 2020, our family Heredia/Reyes/Garcia was impacted by a fire which initiated on the floor above ours at our old address 170 Graham Ave. We were shattered, never in a million years did we think we would have to live through that tragedy. Yet in so much darkness we were thankful that we were all safe and together. Luckily a handful of our belongings were retrieved and we thought that was it. We moved to a new apartment barely adjusting, getting help from old family friends, elementary school teachers, and Heat Makes Sense & employees; we were extremely thankful to have so much support through those times. Everything was starting to go back to normal in the new apartment when on January 14th, 2021 the apartment next to us 242 Montrose Ave caught on fire. This one was worse than the first fire; our family Heredia/Reyes/Garcia was forced to evacuate our building due to the damage sustained by the neighboring fire. We were given four days in a hotel by the Red Cross and are completely terrified of what is to come when those four days are over. We are three families composed of fifteen members who were renting the first and second apartment. We didn’t publicly ask for help during the first fire, we were just blessed by those surrounding us. Now we are coming on here asking for help, anything and everything is completely appreciated. We understand that economically the whole world isn’t thriving but we have been hit twice with a tragedy during these extremely hard times. Once again, we appreciate anything that could help us.
