MOORHEAD — A new mental health agency catering specifically to children and adolescents with hearing challenges and their families has opened here.

Therapeutic Services Agency, Inc. offers appointments at 819 30th Ave. S. Suite 200A. Services for the deaf, deafblind, or hard of hearing are available by appointment only.

The Moorhead office is the ninth TSA location across Minnesota and its services are possible through grant support from the Minnesota Department of Human Services - Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services Division, according to a press release.

Having a permanent space means therapists like Lori Vigesaa can provide specialized treatment and techniques for children and their families.

"“I am so proud of what our exceptional staff member, Lori Vigesaa, brings to the important work of mental health service delivery given her level of compassion, cultural understanding, professional knowledge, and ASL skills to facilitate meaningful therapy and support for deaf and hard of hearing children and families,” said TSA Executive Director Cheryl Smetana McHugh in the press release.
