Art is Life 2024: Artist Showcase March 26-27

We received a record number of submissions for the Art is Life 2024 Employee Artist Showcase!

Please join us for the showcase at One Art Gallery at 23 Warren Street on the following days:

  • Tuesday, March 26, 12-9p
    • Performances 1-1:30p and 7-7:30p
  • Wednesday, March 27, 12-6p
    • Performances 1:30-2p

The theme of this year’s exhibition is "Building Understanding", a key aspect of WorkWell NYC's Project B.U.I.L.D. (Building Understanding, Inclusion, Learning, and Diversity) programming. “Building Understanding” creates environments that value and respect differences so that we can consider different viewpoints, uncover complexity, create connections, and foster healthier communities.

Art is Life 2024 welcomed submissions of:

  • Visual Arts (photography, painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, collage, printmaking, or textile)
  • Performing Arts/Media (acting, audio recording, dancing, film or video, playing an instrument, or singing) and
  • Literary Works (poetry, novel, short story, or script)

Important Dates:

  • Submissions period: January 2 – February 18
  • Curation period: February 19 – March 1
    • WorkWell NYC hopes to accept all artwork submitted but may need to make selections based on space, thematic, and other considerations.
  • Artists notified: March 4-8
  • Artists deliver accepted artwork (2D and 3D artwork only) to gallery in lower Manhattan: March 18-24
  • In-person Employee Artist Showcase: March 25-27
  • Artists pick up exhibited artwork from gallery: March 28 - 31
