Talking Points

Virginia has historically followed the guidance of federal health authorities such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and respected professional medical associations, such as the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) as it has considered vaccination requirements. SB601 would also restrict the ability of the Commonwealth, private employers, health care providers and others from implementing protective measures to protect public health.
