NYC Kids PAC/Class Size Matters Survey On How To Spend Billions of Federal and State School Improvement Funds (deadline May 19) |
SURVEY on How to use billions in new state and federal funds to improve schools
On Saturday May 22, from 11 AM - 1PM, Class Size Matters and NYC Kids PAC will be co-sponsoring a Parent Action Conference to discuss how the new federal and state aid to our schools should be spent, totaling more than $8 billion over three years. The meeting is also co-sponsored by Teens Take Charge. Please sign up here.
This level of additional federal and state education aid is unprecedented and provides a historic opportunity to fundamentally transform our public schools. The City must submit a plan on how to spend the federal funds by July 1.
We cannot leave it up to the Mayor and the Chancellor alone to decide how these funds should be invested to benefit NYC children. The results of this survey will help inform our May 23 conference, and the plan that we will submit to the city on how these dollars should be spent. Please answer the following questions so your views can be taken into account.
We will keep your responses to this survey confidential.
