On February 3 at 12p.m. noon, the Fair Districts Ohio coalition presented a model congressional map for official consideration by the Ohio General Assembly. The model map meets all constitutional requirements, follows the ruling of the Ohio Supreme Court, and delivers fairness to the people of Ohio with a map that would – finally – put an end to the gerrymandering of Ohio congressional districts.   The creation of this map was driven through a citizen-centered process after reviewing the Fair Districts Mapping Competition’s winning maps and with copious input from Ohio communities.
