Citizen group sues Longmont over Costco development plans

Matt Adams: Because they hate Longmont having nice things?

KayLynn Cepeda: When it opens, send the 12 of them to Thornton, Superior or Fort.Collins to do their shopping. The rest of us will stay here.

Tiffany McBride: How many people does this group consist of? Highly doubtful they are the majority. Probably the same people who buy a home next to an airport then complain about noise from planes.

Elizabeth Beaudoin: Thank goodness. That field is beautiful, and Longmont has enough shopping as it is. The few bucks you save at Costco is not worth the destruction of our little remaining open space!

Dave Larison: Longmont’s no-growth, anti-capitalists squawk once more.

Shawn Bebout: But yet the Sam’s Club was ok?

Claire Schlosser: Stupid. Love Costco. Very good employer. Benefits. Why, why, why.

Longmont conversation centers on temporary housing for homeless residents; sweeps not seen as option

Jeffrey Justice: One suggestion I have is for both the “housed” and “unhoused:” When you leave the parks and the pavilions take your garbage with you and dispose of it. Don’t leave your hypodermic needles, beer cans, food scraps, clothing, condoms, marijuana, dog crap, etc. Just take the time to be considerate of others, if that is even possible.

Jim Wester: Tax what you want less of. Subsidize what you want more of.

James Herring: They could camp in her yard.

Jesters owners selling Longmont theater after decades-long run

Cathy Young Dennerline: Thank you so much, Scott and Mary Lou! You have fostered love of the theater for so many. Best of luck on your new adventures.

Lisa Grant: Mary Lou and Scott, you two have been amazing!

Kirsten McNeill: Remember when it all started?

Matt Nicki Lautemann: Congratulations! Well done and thank you.

Chelsea Walters: Oh the memories.

Right-to-abortion bill passes Colorado House after days of Republican protest

Gary Barnett: Good news!

Angela Youngs: Thankful to live in a state with government that understands medical decisions are to be between doctor and patient. If you don’t want an abortion, don’t get one. Easy peasy.

Mark Eckhardt: Women are going to get an abortion whether you like it or not. I would rather them have a safe place to go with a trained professional.

Steven R Wells: No uterus, take a seat.

Holly Coreau: Killers. Sick sick. … You people are not God. Your mothers should have taken your rights away.

Why families facing anti-transgender persecution are moving to Colorado

Tina Johnson Parks: This just acknowledges that our choice to move here six weeks ago was a good one.

Steven R Wells: Texghanistan

Homeowners, neighbors recount Longmont garage fire, explosions early Wednesday

Josh Grimsley: I live at Ninth and Lashley. Didn’t hear the explosions but definitely watched all the emergency vehicles go that way.

Oscar Juarez-Luna: I’m off of Sixth and Lashley, and my windows shook.

Lindsey Beddard: This is what I woke up to today, right by my house. So loud.
