Grannies for Peace

Grannies for PeaceGrannies for Peace, a project of Women Against War, brings together older women who care deeply about creating a more peaceful world for all young people. Grannies for Peace protests US reliance on a foreign policy of military force and calls for US commitment to diplomacy, development, and negotiated political settlements to conflict. Grannies organize vigils, demonstrations, lobbying visits and educational programs.

Grannies for Peace Some are actual grannies, and some are just women of a certain age who could be grannies and care about using our wisdom and energies to nurture peacemaking. Grannies for Peace is part of a loose national network of grannies’ peace efforts including Grandmothers Against the War, and Raging Granneis.
